Holt County Release Date Types
Three date systems can appear in a Holt County case. A pretrial release date is not usually projected at all. The person remains held until bond, a release order, dismissal, disposition, or another lawful event, subject to processing and holds. A definite county sentence has an end that must be computed from the judgment, credit for time already served, any lawful local calculation, and other cases or holds. A MODOC prison sentence can involve parole eligibility, a presumptive parole date, conditional release, a maximum date, minimum terms, and later Board action.
These labels cannot be swapped. Eligibility means an authority may consider release. A presumptive date is a planned parole date that can still change. Conditional release is the supervised part of an eligible Missouri sentence. The maximum date reflects the sentence limit after lawful calculation. Actual release is the event recorded when custody ends or a transfer occurs.

Holt County Conditional Release Rules
Missouri conditional release is not a simple good-time discount. Under RSMo § 558.011, an eligible felony term consists of a prison portion and a conditional-release portion. Holt County Minimum Release Terms
RSMo § 558.019 sets minimum prison terms for covered Missouri offenses and circumstances. A dangerous felony, as defined by state law, generally carries an 85 percent minimum before parole, conditional release, or another early MODOC release, subject to the statute's age-based alternative, scope, and exceptions. Covered repeat commitments may yield 40, 50, or 80 percent minimums. It is false to say every Missouri prisoner serves 85 percent.
Parole is also discretionary under RSMo § 217.690. Reaching eligibility allows consideration; it does not require a grant. The Board's Blue Book states that a presumptive date still depends on good conduct, required programs, correct sentence time, and an acceptable plan. New facts or a changed calculation may lead to rescission.

Holt County Jail Release Calculation
No official Holt County local good-time formula was found. For a definite county sentence, obtain the certified judgment and ask the jail for its calculation or actual release entry. The calculation may need the sentence start, lawful credit for time served, amended orders, concurrent or consecutive terms, and other holds. No Missouri statute or Holt County policy found in the research automatically moves every Sunday or holiday release to Friday. Do not assume a weekend rule. The Sheriff's line operates around the clock, while court and county offices observe their own schedules. When timing is important, ask which date is computed and when the release or transfer was actually logged.
This missing local formula is itself significant. It prevents a generic state arithmetic rule from being imposed on a Holt County jail sentence. County calculations, MODOC conditional release, and federal good-conduct rules belong to different systems.
A written request can make the local answer easier to audit. Identify the person, booking or case number, sentence, and a narrow date range. Ask for the existing release calculation and the final release or transfer entry, not for a new custom computation. Confirm Holt County Release Dates
